KLX230 gear shifter with spring loaded folding head. Originally designed for the KLX230R, but compatible with all KLX230 models, this gear shifter is strong, resilient, and designed to withstand drops and impacts. The spring loaded shifter head folds in during impacts, instead of breaking or transfering force directly to the gear shifter spline. The shaft of the shift lever is made from steel which is not only strong, but has the capacity to bend under force without breaking – making it superior to aluminium levers, which are brittle and prone to snapping off.

If you ride a KLX230 dualsport in off road or enduro settings, we recommend this upgrade. This kit comes with the gear shifter saver.  It is a great way to minimise your risk of a broken lever, a bent gear shifter spline, or even worse, damage inside the engine case as result of the shifter rod being forced inside.
