Dirt Bike Graphics Application Guide
Preparation is Key
Take your time — installation is critical for a clean, lasting finish.
Tools needed: heat gun or hair dryer, Cleaner, 70%+ isopropyl alcohol, clean rags.
Step 1: Remove Old Stickers
Strip off all previous stickers and glue residue. Use heat if necessary to loosen stubborn adhesive.
Step 2: Clean Surfaces
Wipe plastics thoroughly with suspension cleaner. For new plastics, remove factory oils with a stronger cleaner before alcohol — this step is critical.
Step 3: Prime with Isopropyl
Wipe down with isopropyl alcohol. Let dry completely (1–2 hours, up to 4 hours in cold conditions). Ensure no shimmer of oils or residue remains.
Applying the Graphics
Step 4: Align Stickers
With backing on, line up the sticker. Peel one corner (Point A), press gently, then peel opposite corner (Point B). Adjust as needed — stickers can be repositioned.
Step 5: Smooth from Center
Run a finger between Point A & B. Smooth outward slowly to remove ridges.
Step 6: Re‑Adjust if Needed
Peel and reposition before applying heat. Avoid water or soap — it weakens adhesive.
Step 7: Apply Pressure
Use a clean rag to press from center outward. Shape sticker to plastic and smooth bumps.
Step 8: Use Heat
Warm gently with a hair dryer or heat gun. Makes material pliable for curves and edges. Do not overstretch holographic or chrome kits — they may lift.
Final Steps
Step 9: Cure Time
Wait 3–4 days before riding or washing. This ensures glue bonds properly. Minor edge lifting is normal due to temperature or humidity.
Step 10: Seal with Heat
Reheat entire kit, pressing down edges. Activates glue for maximum adhesion.
Pro Tips
Start with simple pieces before tackling complex shapes.
Trim excess if needed — better too much than too little.
Avoid rushing — “Look Good, Go Slow.”
